How to choose the right household energy storage battery?

With the improvement of lithium-ion battery technology maturity, the reduction of large-scale manufacturing costs, policy guidance and other factors, the application of lithium-ion batteries in households has greatly exceeded that of lead-acid batteries. Of course, product attributes also need to match the character of the market. In some markets with outstanding cost performance, the demand for lead-acid batteries is also strong.
Conventional household energy storage batteries include high-voltage batteries and low-voltage batteries. The parameters of the battery system are closely related to the selection of the battery, which need to be considered in terms of installation, power consumption, safety, and use environment.

1. Installation parameters: weight/length and width (weight/size)

According to different installation methods, consider whether the bearing capacity of the ground or wall meets the installation conditions. Consider the available installation space and whether the length, width and height of the battery system will be constrained within that space.
Installation method (installation), how to install at the customer site, and the difficulty of installation, such as floor/wall installation. Degree of protection, highest level of dust protection. A higher level of protection means the battery can support outdoor use.

2. Electrical parameters: available energy

The maximum sustainable output energy of the system is related to the rated energy and discharge depth of the system.

Working voltage range
This voltage range needs to match the input battery range of the inverter battery. High voltage or lower than the voltage range of the inverter battery will make the battery system unable to work with the inverter.

Maximum Continuous Charge/Discharge Current
The system supports the maximum charging and discharging current, which determines how long the battery can be fully charged. This current will be limited by the maximum current output capability of the inverter port. The rated power of the battery, the selected power can best support the full load charging and discharging power of the inverter.

3. Security parameters

At present, the mainstream batteries used in energy storage products are lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and nickel-cobalt-manganese ternary (NCM) batteries. Compared with NCM ternary materials, lithium iron phosphate materials are more stable and safer. At present, JUNLEE's products use lithium iron phosphate batteries, and they are all well-known brand batteries.

To choose a good quality lithium battery for energy storage, in addition to the load, many other factors need to be considered, such as the charge and discharge capacity of the battery, the maximum power of the energy storage machine, the power cycle of the load, the actual maximum discharge capacity of the battery, Specific application scenarios, etc.
